AIRO.LIFE has seen much interest from various organizations with acceptance into many accelerators and incubators. Recently AIRO.LIFE saw fit to align ourselves with Innovation Factory located within the McMaster Innovation Park in Hamilton, Ontario.
From the first face to face meeting with David Carter Executive Director of the Innovation Factory we knew it was the right choice for our organization. David and other team members of Innovation Factory are immediately eager to help and provide information, direction and connections in a very timely manner. If you visit with Dave, in his office you’ll see a picture of Dave with Bill Gates from his time at Microsoft.
The McMaster Innovation Park (MIP) is an award-winning premier research and innovation park just mere kilometers from the internationally renowned McMaster University in Hamilton. The Innovation Park is quickly becoming an important part of Hamilton’s innovation and start-up ecosystem. The Park’s collaborative spaces make it ideal for small companies and start-ups looking for some footing as they begin to grow and develop.
AIRO.LIFE is already familiar with the capabilities of McMaster’s excellent staff and student-faculty. Radical disruption and Innovation within the energy sector on top of our Be Free Phone project is a long-term goal for our company and a team of researchers at the University has been working hard to help us achieve some benchmark accomplishments on the path to creating efficient affordable energy renewal solutions.
Innovation Factory (iF) was founded in 2011 as a non-for-profit Regional Innovation Centre funded by the Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs. Innovation Factory offers a space for start-ups like us to turn their ideas into commercial realities. They provide in-house workshops, programming, access to one-on-one mentoring and funding, all of which are available to companies looking to reach that next level.
The AIRO.LIFE team is grateful to have found such an ideal space to continue growing our company. We believe that relocating to Innovation Factory is a logical and necessary step forward for both our team and the company as a whole.
Supporting local community is a priority for the AIRO.LIFE team and Hamilton is home to an abundance of support systems for entrepreneurial start-ups like us. We are looking forward to utilizing the space’s resources when things resume to normal and are excited to see what kind of results we can generate with help from our friends at Innovation Factory.
The Telecommunications Industry has been operating largely unfettered and over time has become, both in Canada and the United States (US), ruled by a few large players. This makes competition by smaller companies very difficult if not impossible.
This lack of competition is what drives up the price of your smartphone and plan. North America has some of the highest costs for cell phone services in the world.
